I did an in-depth review of the yarn on my Youtube Channel. Check it out below!
So the purpose of this blog post is to just go over any parts I may have missed in the video, like how AWESOME AND ADORABLE my Anaya Alpaca Slouches came out (pattern may or may not be coming soon? IDK.) and how pleased I am with the yarn.
I was able to make these three newborn-sized over the course of two days. One hat took no more than 2 hours to make. I used a 5 mm hook to make the brim and then a 6 mm hook to make the body of the hat.
I didn’t feel like I had to exile myself to work on the hats because there was virtually no shedding. Alpaca yarns that I have used in the past shed so much that I would have to work with them outside of my bedroom just so that the hairs would not get into my husband’s eyes and blind him.
I’m not even kidding. He had sore eyes for DAYS a couple months ago. I felt so badly :(
But then again, this isn’t 100% Baby Alpaca. The yarn is 70% Baby Alpaca, 18% Virgin Wool, 12% Polyamide. I guess that’s the way to go!
So yeah, I 100% approve of this yarn. Click here to check it out!*
Also, I saw you eyeing my hoodie. Check out the Crochet Paraphernalia section of my shop!
